At the Tunnel Autumn 2022
15th July - 1st August
Some excellent insight into the birdlife we have at the Tunnel Cam. We have good footage of one of our more elusive, rare residents - a Greenfinch. Catch a glimpse of this resident at the very start of the video.
Greenfinches are very much in decline, partly through destruction of habitat but also, ironically, through the spread of a parasite called "Trichomonosis". This is spread commonly through the garden feeders and water baths.
The Greenfinch paying a visit is another positive mark for the Reserve in biodiversity.
The next two videos give an overview of life at the Tunnel Cam. Good footage of what looks to me like a mouse at the start of the next two videos. For those of you interested in the technical side, footage at this camera is triggered by capturing a photograph which then triggers video.
Here we go, camera 7 or better known as Tunnel Cam. We have a natural tunnel formed of trees and various shrubs. This provides cover for a range of fauna. Form what we have so far, looks to be good for gaining an insight into the birdlife.
